Mash-up: Excision vs. Designer Drugs

Been awhile, but I'm back with a quick mash-up.

In a couple of recent DJ sets, I've been toying with the idea of taking a dubstep track, slowing it down, and throwing it over a house beat. From this idea was born the fusion between the disco/house/techno slayers of Designer Drugs and the dirty dubstep basslines of Excision.

I'd love to know what you think.

Mash-up: Built To Spill vs. The Rapture

It's been a couple weeks, and I'm at it again - another mash-up. I'm not going to lie to you - I don't think that this one is quite as strong as A Hall, Poorly Maintained was, but it's still pretty fun in its own right.

The mash-up is entitled "Get Myself Into The Car", and combines The Rapture's "Get Myself Into It" with Built To Spill fan favorite "Car". It's short and sweet, direct and to the point. Please download it, and if you like, tell somebody.

Since that first mash-up I did wasn't too terrible, I decided to give it another go. This time, the victims were Stars, The Mars Volta, Rival Consoles, and mewithoutYou. Yes, you read that right.

It probably sounds like a shit-storm, just because of the disparate artists involved (and to some extent, it kind of is), but I think it flows together pretty nicely. The constituent tracks are:

Mash-up: Beyonce vs. Lil' Wayne

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been toying around with the idea of mashing up Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" and Lil' Wayne's Comfortable, but it never went anywhere. Last night, fueled by terrible insomnia, I decided to actually do something about it. I kicked this out in about 3 hours in Audacity, so excuse me if it's a little bit rough. So, here it is for the internet to pick apart.
