Dr. Gonzo - Springer (Waxlife XXL Bootleg Mix)

BOING BOING BOING.

I never liked this song to begin with, I thought it was the weakest of Crookers and Savage Skulls' debut release as Dr. Gonzo.

But something about this remix/bootleg/whatever calls to me. It's fun. AAAND u can d/l it.

Mixmag - Crookers' "Festival Frenzy"

Back to back mixes here, this time from Crookers, whose mix is gracing the cover of the current edition of MixMag. It´s got a pretty nice flow, with a feel that´s at once amped up and loungy, giving hope to all of us diehards who pray that this shitty hip-hop gig is just a passing phase for Phra & Bot.

KW Griff - The Force

I was listening to the Crookers Essential Mix from last summer this morning (I know, it's been over a year since it was released, cut me some slack), and I heard what might be the coolest novelty track ever.

Think Star Wars, but with dirty fucking house beats.

Yeah.

So here it is, "The Force", by KW Griff. Enjoi pls?

Crookers & Co. to host a party with real potential

I hate to marginalize large segments of my potential audience by catering to inherently regional interest, but when I saw this, I simply couldn't resist.

On October 10th, Terminal 5 in Manhattan will play host to Italain virtuosos Crookers and 2009's hype of the summer Major Lazer, alongside the dubstep stylings of Rusko, and a whole host of other Mad Decent friends.

This could be massive. From the first time I ever heard their breezy synth stabs on Kid Cudi's "Embrace the Martian", I've been hooked on Crookers, quite eager to see the two in person. I'm hoping it'll be worth the three hour bus ride from Albany.

I'm hoping.

Band of the Week: Kid Cudi

I'M BACK BITCHES

***

band of the week #10: kid cudi (myspace)(official site)

It's been awhile, but the artist of the week feature is back! And who better than Kid Cudi?

I know that you've heard "Day 'N' Nite" by now, and the catchy as hell Crookers remix, right? I mean, everybody has, that shit's everywhere. "Embrace The Martian", another Crookers joint, is equally ill.

Is Cudi the future of hip-hop? If that would mean that the future sounds like this, then I sure as hell hope so.

This is going to be big.
